How Often Should You Train Glutes Each Week?

More is not always better. Why focused glute sessions with proper recovery grow your booty faster than daily classes.

The short answer

There is no single magic number. What matters is that your glute training is focused. Jane runs dedicated glute sessions that directly target the glutes with hip thrusts, squats, lunges and Romanian deadlifts, instead of leaving them as an afterthought at the end of a workout. Muscles grow while you recover, so training the same muscle hard every single day slows your progress instead of speeding it up.

What a good glute week looks like

  • Focused glute sessions with hip thrusts, squats, lunges and Romanian deadlifts.
  • Add weight or reps over time. This progressive overload is what makes glutes grow.
  • Rest days between hard glute sessions so the muscle can recover and grow.
  • Enough protein and calories to build muscle, around maintenance or slightly above.

Why classes alone rarely work

Classes are fun, but most never increase the weight or track progress. A structured program that repeats key lifts and adds load week by week is what changes your shape.
